eDeal.com is founded in Toronto by Colin Webster and Leon Kuperman as a C2C auction marketplace. Launches Toronto Maple Leafs’ first game-worn jersey auction, beginning a long-standing partnership with Real Sports Auction.
2002
Launches first fully branded NHL Auction Marketplace (now operated by Fanatics); platform transitions to SaaS. Launches Hewlett-Packard B2B Auction Marketplace. Develops early pin-on-pack promotions for Post Cereal and Coca-Cola (cokeauction.ca), paving the way for iCoke.
2003
Releases eDeal Auction Enabler, a customizable auction platform empowering brands to control their marketplace experience.
2004
Launches one of North America’s first B2B Reverse Auctions for Loblaws Procurement.
2005
Raises venture capital from John Albright and Rick Segal. Rebrands as Truition, adding fixed storefront features. Expands executive team: Butch Langlois, Mike Hennessy, Rick Simpson join. Launches MLB Auctions, now the world’s largest baseball memorabilia marketplace.

Launches OpenCanvas, one of Canada’s first fully cloud-managed software platforms. Debuts London 2012 Olympic Auction Marketplace with Pursuit 3 and Jon Curleigh.
