IHG adds Chinese Language Option to its Auction ‘Experiences’ Marketplace

We are excited to announce a significant evolution of the IHG Auction ‘Experiences’ Marketplace site – the addition of Chinese language as a user option! Users can navigate, bid and perform transactions on the site from the Greater China Area.  We have managed this site with our loyalty partner Points.com for three years but IHG was anxious to engage their Chinese speaking users – hence this week’s launch of simplified Chinese as a second language preference for the site. Our Open Canvas platform supports a host of languages and currencies, but in the many years our team has been building auction marketplaces (including our time spent at eDeal, Truition & Fair Market), we have never launched a site with Chinese language capability – a first time for everything!

The wait is over –   https://auctions.ihg.com is alive and kicking! Just toggle the switch on the top right corner to see the Chinese version and appropriate items available in the Greater China Area. The site launched early this week and early indications based on traffic, bidding activity and user engagement are extremely encouraging.
